Flash Payments Partners With The Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club for 2024 Season
Flash Payments have announced today that they have signed on as a partner of the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Union Football Club. The club, colloquially known as the ‘Beasties’, is one of the oldest district rugby union clubs in Australia and is based in Rose Bay in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Andrew Porter, Flash Payments Chief Commercial Officer stated, “We are very proud to be partnering with Eastern Suburbs Rugby for the 2024 season”. “Just like Easts hardworking performances on field for their supporters, Flash Payments strives to deliver the most innovative and seamless domestic and international payments solutions for our customers.” He added, “We look forward to a successful season and engaging closely with East’s members and supporters as well as the wider local rugby community throughout the year."
Dominic Remond, CEO of Easts, said “We are excited to have Flash Payments onboard as a first time partner of the club”. Adding, “we look forward to building this relationship long into the future, and this extends to our members and other partners, who now have a terrific opportunity to engage with Flash Payments and utilise their domestic and international payments services”.
The partnership also forms part of a wider marketing effort for the company’s 'Flash Manage' product, which is a dedicated international payments solution for the Wealth Management industry. Flash Manage allows private wealth advisors the ability to easily undertake competitive foreign exchange transactions on behalf of their clients.
Mr Porter commented, “there is a large link between the wealth management industry and the rugby community in Australia, many current and former players work in the industry and many wealth advisory businesses are partnered with local clubs”. “Partnering with the oldest and one of the most successful clubs in the competition made total sense”, Porter added.
Mr Porter also sees a great opportunity to highlight the company's B2B solution, which provides payment rails into and out of Australia for local and overseas banks and financial institutions, as well as their FlashFX international payments offering for SME’s and individuals.
Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Union Football Club was formed in March 1900, since that time, the club has won a total of 84 premiership titles or shields across Grade and Colts from 1900 to 2020. Along with this, they have won 9 club championships and continue to be a breeding ground for superstars of the future.
